Default '86 33' Fountain with 600's

I've owned the boat 11 years, shopping for new insurance. No incidents ever with this boat, or any other. Have a current survey.

With all of the other types of "risk" out there... why will no one touch this one?

Thanks,
Brian

Hey Brian - A lot of insurance carriers will not insure boats over 20 years old, but Markel will. At your convenience, please give us a call and we will be happy to get you a quote.

Thanks!

I have a survey that's a couple years old, and can easily get it updated. Apparently, this is not relevant to most carriers.

Hey Brian,

Try Erie Insurance of friend of mine has a 82 32 Signature and they insure him.

I would stay away from Markel if you could. They may insure you but they won't pay any claims. A good friend of mine got stuck in the A$$ big time by them.

Good Luck

Mark

Thanks Mark, but Erie Insurance does not cover the Michigan area. BTW, how's those Konrad drives holding out?

Yes, Markel will require a current Value & Condition Survey.

Thanks!

Hey Chris, I hear of a lot of people getting insurance from Erie for high performance boats. My question is HOW??? I have Erie insurance for my vehicles and home but when I tried to get them to insure my current boat, 2004 Hustler 344 with 500's, they said that no way would they ever insure something with that much hp but I see that you have more than I do. My local agent even made numerous calls to the main office (so she says) and they still wouldn't insure it. A buddy of mine has Erie insurance for his 31' Sonic but he has it insured as a "second home". Is that how everbody is getting them to insure their high performance boat?
