Anyone with recent experience with Essex?

Just curious what perimeters they are basing loans on? Newcoast says less then 15 years old, 20% down, credit better then 700 but I hear people meeting these perimeters being turned down. Looking for $75K on a 15 year old boat, have the 20% and the credit score.

I talked to a credit company at the local boat show, he said they are very picky on performance boats these days

In addition to the parameters you described, the banks are also looking at book value in relation to sales price, income/affordability and liquidity after down payment. As you described, it is certainly possible to meet a few of the requirments but not be approved as other requirements fell short. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks.

Yes. $100,000 and above on performance boats, $75,000 and above on non-performance boats.

Rick, did Bruce from Shogren's talk to you in Miami about the Sonic you and I talked about?
