mine went down, is it possible your credit score took a hit this year? that will affect your rate.

Homeowners insurance has gone up about 20% for those in coastal counties

My experience with progressive was horrible. One of their customers drove into the side of my Dump trailer while I was pulling it down the road. The cops found the other driver 100% at fault and consequently gave them the ticket. When I called Progressive on monday to file a claim (all I would have recieved was $400.00 because Michigan is a no fault state) their claim rep treated me as a second class citizen, said that cops make mistakes all the time, and told me to pack sand. I told them not a problem, that not only was I going to pack sand, but that I would find another ins company for my Harley Davidson, as I was also a customer. Their attitude towards me totally changed at that point, but they held their position. I ended up suing the lady that hit me and won. The funny thing is that not only did I win but THEY (progressive)ended up paying more than what I was asking for as the court sided with me and awarded me other damages. I would never recommend them or want to deal with them again, and with that I found another insurance company and saved 30%.

as soon as you get too many discounts for good driving, they pull some a** trick and raise your rates. Go Geico.

im looking for another ins company now. i hit something a couple of weeks ago and broke a bunch of stuff in the upper drive. the prop has a ding in it but there was no external damage to the drive so the said it was a mechanical problem. i felt a hard bump when it hit and they said i felt the drive breaking. ive broke drives before under a load and never felt that "hitting". time to call somebody else for quotes.

Around our area progressive is known as a "patch it" company. Thy don't want to fix things right. I just went through a $5k claim with them and my rate went up $360 bucks a year. First insurance claim I have ever had. Think I may shop around just to see what else is out there. Every mechanic I know hates progressive

dont go gieco they suck. I had an accident with my truck. some woman hit me basically head on in the snow. She was driving way too fast, saw a cop, locked the brakes spun around backwards and hit me. right in front of a cop car.LOL

I went to my ins. co and told them what happened even though I was going to go to the other ins co, they sent out an adjuster. Thier estimate came back very low.

So I told them to stay out of it once again, that I would deal with the other company, even spoke with thier subrogation department directly, and said under no circumstances did I want them involved.

They called the other company and gave them thier quote.
after I had recived a higher quote from the other insurance company ALMOST DOUBLE. So they (other ins)recinded thier quote.

It took me 6 months to get them back up to where they were before gieco stuck thier nose in it.

Gieco sucks.

The I recently went to nationwide for insurance on my sutphen,
They said sure we insure that boat, 31 sutphen spirit 310 300 HP mercs etc etc,. so I call back and ask do I need a survey for this I need to know today call me back if I need one. No call back. So I cancel my survey. Two days later I call to put the ins on and they say well what bout your survey.

Man was I pissed now it took me 3 weeks to get back on the survey list. so I get the survey and call to put the insurance on and they tell me OH no we dont insure that boat at all. WTF is that!!!!

So I got progressive through Stacey Shute wake zone insurance. The best most caring person in the water sports insurance biz!!

Then they call me back 2 days later and tell me they will now accept my boat in the ins program.

What is wong with these companies is that they have too many lobbists protecting them and the laws are stacked in thier favor.

If we ever needed reform its in this industry. Its getting to be like legalized extortion. you have to have it and they know it.

Talk to anyone who owns a body shop and deals with insurance companies all day long. They will tell you that Progressive is the absolute bottom-feeder in the insurance industry.

They never want to pay, and yes, they try to fix your stuff as inexpensively as possible.

Progresive went up on me from $1550 to $1666 a year. I live in Texas. I have had no luck finding anything cheaper. I've tried. I'm still with them.

Awwe!!! Thank you Jeff! Although... we are moving you away from Progressive to ACE as soon as we can. They have a better policy form for your particular boat. Got your PM, thanks for the update! Talk to you soon!
