Planning on attending the Bimini Poker Run? If so, make sure you have the right insurance or you could find yourself with no coverage!

When I say the "right insurance", I'm referring to ensuring that you have the proper endorsements and/or policy that extends navigation to the Bahamas. Some carriers, give you a radius from the US coast you can boat in. Other's state that you can not go into another country's waters. Some require that you get a special endorsement to allow you to break the normal navigational limits of your policy to attend the run. Make sure you read your policy or seek advice.

So, before you leave, call your agent and make sure that your coverage extends to the Bahamas and waters that you will be in for the event. If it does not, get the proper endorsements for your policy.
