Good luck finding a lender and a boat you'll enjoy.
That's why I deleted it don't want to start a pissing match about the value of boats and yada yada. I just want info from people who have used boa recently, if anyone has. I have a lender lined up, boa's rate is 2% lower so I figure why not try.

You can get lucky with credit unions too. Did you or your wife go to college? If you went to a state school some of them have credit unions. My truck loan was from my college credit union.... Their boat rates were competitive at one point.

I second the credit union route. The one I used didn't care what the boat was, so long as it's book value was commensurate to its asking price.

If B of A treats their boat loan customers like they do homeowners loans I would stay away at all costs.

BOA did a new boat loan for me, painless on line and did all I asked for. I've financed several boats and would have to say it was one of the most easiest so far. I had a broker taking care of my boat financing until BOA. I'm not gonna mention names but they strung me on for a long time, pissed me off especially when I asked them about BOA and there reply was they take to long to close. Come to find out BOA does not use broker boat financing anymore. If you do you use a broker try sea coast financial. They were great, but in my situation BOA worked better for me. Remember though, it ain't like it used to be, you need to have a FICA score of at least 700 and make money. BOA made This also happen being self employed and triple motors. I did put a grip of money down, but had great experience.

Good luck

Default Boa and dave p

Dave P is a loan officer for BOA.I just sent him 2 loans,1 for $950,000 and another for $1,650,000 and he got them both done at a very low rate.I don't know their guidelines but I do have 2 happy boatowners as clients so check with him.
