How many engines?? Seems like a big jump for power. Years ago when I financed a boat with my credit union they went down a list of options to get the value.
In 1987 for the boat he listed., we are talking small blocks and alphas vs merc racing engines, trs drives (or ssm) and I assume hydro steering. It would certainly make the boat worth more nada. And to answer the OP question, most bank do consider all options in value, not just the engines. However, my CU that I have been with for a long time just does 110% of base value and is not really competitive with boat loans. It depends on the bank. |

whats a good bank for boat financing here in Arkansas ?
For marine financing I used Grand Savings bank. They're based out of Grove, OK. Since they are basically right on Grand Lake they are knowledgeable when it comes to marine based contracts. The head guy is a huge Cigarette fan too. They have recently started putting branches in the NW Arkansas area and growing that market. This is who I have been using with no issues on my boats. Fair rates and fair payment schedules. Buck |
I went and got pre approved for a loan at my local credit union they said it all depends on the survey with an appraisal. When I had my survey done last year of the checkmate they appraised it a lot higher than what I bought it for. The CU said they would do 110% and they really don't care what year the boat is as long as the survey appraisal is good. So now the search is on!
