Thanks guys. Unfortunately my buyer walked from the deal after three banks turned him down for the age of the boat. Guess I have to keep it or find a cash buyer.

Hmmm...that sux. I wonder if HE backed out and used the banks as a copout.
Maybe his credit wasnt as good as was claimed.

Too many banks out there to not get financing.

I don't know. I personally talked to the banker and he definitely wanted the boat. Not a big deal. I've got other interested parties and I've been out three times so far this year, so if it don't sell I don't care. Just looking to move up.

I'd finance it for him.....but he probably wouldn't like the rate....lol.

He needs to deal with a credit union, they tend to be the best and most competitive

When I was getting my boat 4 years ago the bank sead at that time that if it was any older than they wouldn't touch it. So 2000 was the cut of 4 years ago.

Was it a credit union? TBTF banks suck.

Credit union credit union credit union. OP would have his cash by now if the buyer was truly wanting that boat.... You usually gotta have a clean chexsystem to join a CU. Buyer may have bounced a check or closed a bank acct with a negative balance in the past.

Idk. Pure speculation on my part.
