where are some of better places to get the best terms and rates on boat loans? anywhere I should avoid?

Credit Unions seems to have the best rates from my experience

I've had good luck at Key Bank

Credit Union.

call me @ 856 767 8134, I just had a 96 foot Ferretti loan closing.I have many sources.

Thats who Coastal actually went thru when I signed everything. I did nothing but a few phone calls / emails / etc...They even took care of all the documentation.

Credit Union all the way. I used Americu.

I agree with credit unions. However, make sure that they can establish a value of the boat. If it is a low volume custom boat they might have trouble. My bank tried to change my loan from a boat loan to a personal loan at a much higher rate because they said that they could not establish a value.

USAA Period. Longer terms than most credit unions and a great interest rate.
