I insured my fountain 89 or 90. For actual cash value at American family. My agent bends over backwards for me. I spend 2 k a month with him. But have had nothing but stellar results. Including 4 claims. Agent new it was very fast boat with and lots of add ons. 465 a year

Who else actually insures?

Progressive (Only one left under $5000 a year)
Allstate (wont do mine - more than 500HP)
Geico - Ironically, wont insure speed boats
State Farm - Wont do Florida anymore
Farmers - Maybe, if I do an umbrella with them.

For some reason, living in Florida it has been going up $800 a year the last 3 years. Mine is over $4800 a year. The rediculous part is I have a 4 year old and have used the boat 2 times in 18 months. Awesome ROI !!!

Is there any truth that if you have an umbrella with the "company" your boat insurance will go down? A friend on mine has Farmers and his dropped in price with the umbrella.

Statefarm let me insure my boat for whatever value I stated, obviously the premium goes up accordingly but for an extra couple bucks per month the piece of mind is worth it.
