I added a few options and got the 1999 Baja 29 to $28,500 no trailer with not much effort, is it worth $10,000 more? The low hour one owner 100% fresh water stuff is getting hard to find. I use NADA as a guide and then look at comps and sold boats report. This boat is a consignment boat and not much I can do about the price. We offer in house financing and registration. I sold a 600 hour 1997 29 Outlaw no trailer earlier this year for closer in the range and then put a trailer under it for some customers, it turned out very nice.

Thanks for joining the conversation, I really appreciate it. It's a very nice boat, and unique with the low hours, not sure if it justifies the premium though. Time will tell

On ABOS, I come up with 38k high, which is the figure I would send to the bank, 27,500 low which is about 5k more than I would offer on trade in. Perfect boat after inspection-low 30s is where I would want to be at but that is just me. Now you have to decide how bad you want it.

This is comparable, and I've had my eye on it for months

There you go. Look close at the motors-that's frost, Michigan, fresh water, short season. You say you have been watching it for a while, bet he would like to move it in January! Start at $27,500. What can he say-Let him take you to 30. If that doesn't work offer to meet him half way $31,250. Seems fair all the way around and it comes with a trailer.

Look closer at the motors. Never trust a picture. Never trust a seller. Until you see it with your own eyes it doesn't exist.

Have you seen this one in the classifieds?

OK, smaller engines, more hours but......... Small block get a great wrap on here while the 454's are getting long in the tooth. 440 hours is not much on a 14 year old boat, check the maintenance history. Still no trailer but it's 4 years younger and 5k cheaper! (It may be a bomb but presents nicely in the ad)

Happy shopping.

found a boat I like. 1999 32 fountain fever, 502's. asking 40k. so I talk to two different banks. went how I thought it would. they said the market value from the buc book was 32k (close to nada), and they would loan 75 percent of that (25k). now a matter of how much he's willing to come down, and how much I want to spend out of pocket. The banks said they always have a bigger problem with the guys selling performance boats (always wanting over book)

A 1999 32 Fever with 502s in good shape for 40k is NOT out of line,,
ask the banks what they payed for their boats and what they feel their boats are worth.
