I had a great discussion with my old boss Arthur Buhr regarding the FullThrottle Insurance Program.The program is still running as strong as ever and will be taking rate reductions in the under 130 MPH Performance Catamaran sector soon.This program has run successfully since May 2008 when the first policy was written.Prior to that we had run successful programs through Ace Insurance and American Yacht Insurance..
Although the recreational marine insurance market has substantially changed since 2017,the poor or deceptive underwriting that has plagued the industry was something TotaL Dollar did not get involved with.While these other failed programs cannibalized each other by offering inadequate rates and terms,Total Dollar continued with their expertise to make sure they could weather these types of storms.So although programs may enter the business and offer rates that seem incredibly low,they will probably not not last long as things that appear to be to good to be true,are usually just that and may be gone tomorrow (or next renewal)
