I don't know all of their history, but have met and spoken with Jack Clark (owner of Jag) several times. They've done a lot of custom projects and are currently marketing a center console/cat fishing boat, which is derived from the 35'.

I wonder if you are referring to the Michael Peter's designed 45'-50' Jag?

No, that "Cigar" hull was a 42' canopied V-hull, at that time for sale by Nightmare Racing Team. I saw it just once and shortly after that I read that Jaguar would go on with building their cat-line and also that V model (under the Cigar PB sign). I'm sure that I still have that article somewhere, will try to find it.

Insurance lay-up period begins 01 Nov: time to put this rig into storage. Darn, we were just starting to have fun. :(

John, Enjoy the last few days. I put my Jag away on Oct. 15th. I had a great year and a great last day of the season on Sunday. I have not wanted to post anything about my Jag, afraid i might jinx my year. I took pics during my vacations that I will post. I did get around this year! Boating is fun when they run with just normal care. How has the performance of your Jag changed with the dry sump 6's? Was it worth the money? I have looked into it and will base my decision on your answer. I will be having my drives removed and inspected regardless of changing the oiling system. Thanks Doug

Doug-
The dry sumps are worth the money in my opinion. Because there's more hp to the props the boat gets on plane quicker and it picked-up at least 100 rpm. I'll know more after the correct props are installed.

Happy to read that you had a fun year! :ernaehrung004:

Couldn't get the boat out of the water last weekend: there's only one forklift driver (at the marina) authorized to lift large cats and he was off-duty. So I have to reschedule to the 9th or 10th. Can't do it this weekend because of TMS' NASCAR event.:D

Fellow Jag owners: what boat projects do you have scheduled for the winter?

What cylinder heads did Pfaff use for your engines?

John, Dart pro's were installed. I can look up all the specs if you need them. I looked at your post looking for more h.p. and I think heads and whipple intercoolers should do it. Just my opinion, good luck. My drives are at platinum boats in L.A .getting rebuilt, not dry sumped but I am changing gear ratio from 1.24 to 1.35. I don't know if it will be any faster but the boat will be more responsive. I'm happy with the speed. I just need it to stay dependable and trouble free. Boating is fun when you are enjoying the boat with just mainenance issues. Good luck. Doug

Thanks Doug!
Are you going to change props too?
I'll keep you posted.
John
