Default Bob's Jag

Your Jag is looking great Bob!

Mine also had the heavy aluminum engine hatches (now carbon/core), aluminum forward hatch (now carbon/core), aluminum "tie bar protector" on the transom , huge amounts of heavy aluminum cross bracing in the engine compartment, plus an amazing number of SS bolts, heavy roll cage, heavy seats, and more.

My hatches were fiberglass and weighed about 125 pds ea. Ill post some pics of the the bottom once im done gel coating it. I had a bunch of access covers that were cut into the deck of the boat. They had an aluminum cover on top, fiberglass center core and an aluminum frame underneath. I fiberglassed up all the holes in the deck. Now it is all smooth and looks much nicer. Also saved about 50 pds of aluminum weight there. The scrap yard is gonna love me when i show up! BTW just the lifting hardware (heavy stainless steel) was like another 50 pds too! Like I said the boat is on a serious diet!!

Im really busting my ass to get this thing on the water. I have completly re-gelcoated the bottom and should have it back on the trailer or ready to be back on the trailer monday. The goal was for desert storm, but not sure. I have about a month to basically rig the boat. Im just taking stuff and swapping from one boat to another, so im hoping I can have it done in about 2 weeks! That then gives me about 2 weeks for what ever else I am not thinking of at the moment!!

Your trailer looks great too. I haven't found a good place to get mine done, but am looking.

I had extreme do it. They make the trailers that eliminator uses. I had them sand blast, repaint, L.E.D. lights, all new brakes. Trailer is basically new for $3K And with the drive guard my trailer is 44 feet long I put the stickers back on myself.

I thought you were putting the Jag on a diet. I'm not a very good sander kind of guy. Bob, you are doing a great job and you should be very happy with the Jag hull. Doug
