Seems pretty similar.....

Has anyone else connected the fact that kryptonite is an almost an entirely copied machine? I could be wrong on most counts but this is how I see it. The hull design is copied directly from the 21 superboat up to the step. The hatch is pretty much, if not, identical to Hustler. The additional swim platform, also identical to hustler. I was at the shop today, my boat was parked next to an old school hustler and I couldn't help to see the similarity in the deck. The deck of the kryptonite is pretty similar to the late 1990's 32 hustler, just a little less bubble on the kryptonite and the deck raised an inch. The side scoop also identical to a Hustler. Maybe there's a connection, maybe I'm crazy. Anyone else see it?

The hatch is different for sure.

The swim platform does look very similar to the Hustler, but it also looks very similar to the Activators, and in fact similar to a lot of molded in swim platforms. The side scoops do look very similar to the Hustlers, I dont care, I like it.

The hull looks similar to alot of vee bottoms I think. Anyone that has lifting strakes and no beak is going to look pretty similar. Why change something that works?

There are really very few boats made that look completely unique and werent splashed off someone elses hull at some point during their creation. Add a step here, a chine there, widen this, narrow that, and you have a new boat. Very small changes can make a boat perform much differently.

I'm not saying its a bad thing, BUT one must admit that kryptonites look awfully more similar to a hustler than any other boat. The hatch is unlike any other. This is a newer hustler, but the older ones have the exact hatch.

the old challenger is the exact hull! may be their mold with a few differences.

I have a 21 challenger, the krypto has that lines if anything...but...who cares, it performs better than everything it copied :D

Ok, lets look at things for a second here.
The Kryptonite looks alot like the old Outerlimits Stiletto too.
The 37 Stiletto is a stretched 32 Hustler. Fiore connection there.
Kryptonite and Hustler are both made in Long Island. Connection there.
I forget exactly where the Kryptonite hull comes from but all the NE manufactures including Superboat have ties. Maybe it was the 24 Superboat that became the 27 Kryptonite hull now that I think about it. Not sure so don't quote me.
I always thought my Kryptonite looked more like an Outerlimits then a Hustler.

The story as I was told is the 21 Superboat was made from a 21 Challenger. The 27 Kryptonite was made from a 21 Superboat by heavily modifying the bottom and of course adding the extra length and width. Then the name of course: Superboat (Superman) fearing Kryptonite :evilb:

Now that I look at it, the Hustler sure does look similar... The stern of it anyway, from the side intakes back. interesting.

kirk from Kryptonite mentioned something about streaching the superboat also if I remember right that was 7 years ago or so.

Its the superboat...trust me...i have the challenger...crawl underneath and you can see it plain as day. Take a superboat or challenger, add a step, some width and some length and your there. The deck isnt far off either
