Kryptonite Trivia
How many were made?
Size's ? options? how many made it off Long Island? ( I know mine made it to Jersey. now back on LI) |
23 (CC as well)
27 (CC as well) 29 (27 with molded platform) 39 (only one) Ours is the first Krypto ever built, its a 1999. There are two out in Western NY, a 27 and a 29. |
Mine made it off Long Island. All the way to NW Ohio. I get a lot of questions about it everywhere we take it. Mostly it sees time on Indian Lake, 20 minutes away, but it also gets to Lake Erie, Laurel Lake, Dale Hollow and Brookeville Lake in Indiana. I would post a pic if I could figure it out but I cannot. It is a 23' with the cuddy and a 300XS hanging off the back.

My former 2003 29' is living in Pennsylvania and runs on the Delaware & Chesapeake. The current owners love it and have it running 100+

Hey Johnny, In the minute I talked to you at the long beach races. You said the kryptonite was going pleasure boat. Does that mean your going unlimited power, and get that thing really moving. Or putting a cabin interior, and creature comforts. Post up some interior pics, is yours a race version dash? Ed |

Ed If I could, Id love to build 850 or so and get it over 100...with a -1 drive I think the X-Dimension would be perfect for big number running, but that isnt in the cards right now. Im running around 650, stock XR drive. Best Ive seen is 88 so far, but to be honest I usually leave the small wheel on it and never really string it out. But it pulls like a mofo with 680ft. lbs and a small prop :D Yup, full race dash, no cabin, there is a back seat going in under the race hatch. |

Hello everybody, I have a 290 CC and was curious if anyone knows exactly where the fuel tank is? I want to mount stainless cooler tie downs on both sides of the deck hatch (about a foot in front of the front seat, so passengers can pin there feet against it) and really don't want to put a drill bit through the tank. Thanks

Tank is under the center of the floor. In the regular model it goes from the cabin to the rear bulkhead behind the rear seat. I imagine yours is similar. It spans from stringer to stringer.
I realize this is an old post but it might still help. Btw, I still have mine, off long island, in Delaware. |
LOL, Mine doesn't have a metal tank or bladder. My tank is part of the hull. Its pretty trick and built that way for race weight. I haven't been on this thread in ages.

can not believe New Yorkers wearing cowboy hats and I know they play CW music to in NY and now wonder if it has hit Saratoga & Lake George . I might have to rethink about moving back to NY for the summers.
|
I play out in Saratoga at least twice a week...they love hearing bluegrass and good country. If you're ever around let me know!

Grew up on the Sacandaga Lake and boated a ton on Lake George, every weekend we would go to LG in the summer months. My brother has 2 boats on the Sacandaga currently. I want to move back but only for the summer months.
I left NY well over 30 years ago and country music we never heard back then. It was a huge culture shock when I moved to Texas and all of the cowboy, cowgirl attire back then. You really do not see as much currently especially in Dallas but country music is played a lot. I checked out your Krypt at the Buffalo PR.. I will be back for that Anyways just babbling on. |
Who might your brother be and his boats??

We grew up in Gloversville. My parents still there and brother lives on the lake - TGS. I left after college to TX over 30 years ago. I know the same machine shop / engine builder that you know in G'ville |
Jack Boyd? He does a lot of machine work for us. We get along well. We send him some car business, he sends us some marine.
I'm in three- George Fletcher's Foldin' Money www.Georgefletcher.com My own band- The Switch and my dad's band, Blue Moon |
Boyd Racing yes in Gloversville I think its on Fulton Street. I have not been home in about 10 years. That's great you are busy in music, I will touch base with you down the road and come watch your band possible this May or before summer is out.
