New to Lavey
Just thought I'd drop in and say 'hello'. I've been a member for years and just sold my second 'twin' Baja H2X and picked up a 24' NuEra closed bow. The boat won't be delivered from Havasu for another couple of weeks. It's the orange-flamed unit that pops up on their website when you click on 24' Nu Era.
Anyway, I've done as much homework as possible about how much different a custom Lavey is going to be than my two previous production Baja's. Even though it's 100 pounds heavier than the H2X, some folks think that the truer hull and the steps will allow it to outperform the H2X. If not, I guess I have a 496 Mag HO for sale... Steve |
Congratulations on the new boat! Lavey's are awesome hulls and I think you will be surprised by just how well it runs with 496HO power. If you need some more juice for the 496 talk to us about one of our 525HP kits!

That was short!
This was absolutely my favorite boat so far and the performance and speed figures were blistering with a custom Hydromotive prop. Unfortunately, it came to an untimely demise.
The boat was hit on the drive by a 50' houseboat and 3/4 of the way sank. The insurance company is trying to decide if they want to fix it or total it, but either way, I'm done with it! Of course this all happened early on July 4th, before any fun could be had... |
