And the boat weighs 10,500lbs dry...

Thanks for the compliment!

Ya welcome

When you say on the limiters, do you then think there is 2-4 mph with dialing in? For 10.500 lbs, that could worry fountain owners:evilb::evilb::evilb:

Yes if you're more interested in top speed and want to sacrifice some midrange acceleration. But at Lavey we like to setup the boats to be a good all around performer. Because when we go boating, along with most boaters, most of the time the boat is fully loaded with 5 people, ice chest, gear, full tank of fuel (180-200gals in the 39 evo) so when you go boating with those circumstances you'll need a bit more low-midrange.

We also have the props turning out because we noticed it handles a bit better all around in various turns and straights as well as around the dock...

We could turn the props in, go up one prop size to a 39" pitch (possibly Hering for a bit more) or do a gearing change and run the smaller props (35" or 37").... With these things done we believe 115mph is in reach, under optimum running conditions.

And like I said, this is with 100% STOCK Merc 700's!

I would like to see motors in the 800-1000hp range just to see what the hull would do, if it would "run out of bottom" up around 120.

Pony up some coin then Cat, I'm sure they'd give you a great deal on the boat w/o power! :coolcowboy:
