Anyone have "shoot through" depth meter

You need to get a proper sized hole saw, one that is the same or slightly larger then the "puck". Take the drill out of it and cut through the core untill you hit the fiberglass bottom. Coat the bottom and sides with epoxy and seat the puck in the hole.

Do not forget to dake out the drill or you will have a 1/4 inch hole in the bottom of your boat.

So I "can" use a shoot through on a balsa cored hull? How do you how deep to go, and how do you get the core out of the hull that I just drilled without going all the way through?

I have a through hull ducer, and aside from it only working at idle or above idle speeds.-

Youll need to dig out the core for it to be accurate.

I talked to Chris at Lavey, looks like it's a going to be a custom bracket transom mount.
