Well the spouse and family have decided to declare "mutiny" and they do not like the Lavey Craft. They said it's too much performance and not enough family. I LOVE the damn boat, but it looks like I will be placing an ad in the OSO classifieds very soon. If you know anyone interested shoot them my way, the boat is exceptional.

The boat is REALLY awesome, I had a guy on last week who's looking into a 29' cuddy, we had about 22mph winds, I guess it was 2-3ft chop, he couldn't believe how well the boat tracked, I barely had to do any steering corrections and we were doing about 65mph. I thought this was the boat that could really meet the family's needs and mine, of course I get kicked in the nutz....sigh

now that sucks...... no chance for compromise?

Just out of curiosit, did Desert Autoplex end up with your boat?

They have it on consignment, I've been traveling all over and just don't have time to deal with the sale.

Got it.... Love the boat and it's exactly what I would like to move up to but is a little new for my price range.

Hopefully you can get into one, it's such damn good ride.

that sucks...what doesnt the family particularly care for about the boat?

She thinks it has too much power, she doesn't like the door size leading to the bow, she HATES the swim ladder, no windshield, and it's too loud. All of these are total women issues, and I have 3 girls on top of that, so I live in a sea of estrogen! She does not complain about the ride though! She want's a true bow rider, so I'm looking at a 26-29ft Cobalt. I'll be perfectly happy if I don't sell for a while!

to funny....... although i dont have a bow rider but my wife has exactly the same likes and dislikes
loves the ride...... just about hates everything else........ noise/ power
i am fortunate that she doesnt mind my going out and spending days with my mates alone

Swim ladder? Replace with different model.
Too loud? Captain's Call Exhaust cutout
No windshield? Flip up wind deflectors
Too much power? Keep it below 2500 and 1/2 throttle, uh, make that 1/3 throttle
Likes ride? Get her a test ride in a bowrider with an 15 degree deadrise.

The problem is she already was in the Cobalt model we are looking at and liked it. It's already too late.......sniff :-(

My wife never set foot in my Carlson so I didn't have your problem, but if she had your wife's attitude I would have told her to get her own boat.

I have a sale in the works, we'll see, I've had two deals that didn't go through due to they couldn't qualify.

I'm not going to bring it out to Annapolis, $5k to bring it out and back and $1300 to retrofit my boat lift for the steps in my hull. Just too much for 3 months of boating. So it'll sit in Dallas till next year with the occasional ride when I come home until it sells.

bert, did you sell it to anyone on here? I just wish I could have been in a position to pick that boat up. It was almost exactly what I want (a 2750 mid-cabin with the optional windshield and 525 for the price you were asking would be exactly what I would like to have).
