Pretty sure they handle chop as well or better than any out there, while looking around always heard great things about how they handle rough water. The nav light on mine is a flip up model, can't see it when you don't need it. After crawling all over my new boat checking every nut and bolt servicing everything, the craftsmanship and attention to detail is fantastic! I'm curious on input of your other questions especially about pulling tubes and such as I'm hoping to do some of that with my 29 Nu Era I think if I drop down a couple inches pitch on the prop it will do fine. |
what is the diff between a nuera and a xcs?
NuEra bottoms and the xcs bottoms are totally different. The xcs bottom is a "standard" twin step bottom with a pad on the rear keel. The NuEra bottom is a lot more advance and has no pad. how do these boats handle chop? Both boats handle the chop very well for their size. Both boats are ocean worthy and have been tested out in the ocean many times. They are also very worthy of smooth calm lake water aswell. Now, the NuEra bottom will handle the rougher water much better than the xcs will. i cant see nav lights on either boat, are they hidden??? The nav lights for the front fold up and down so they are not visible when its day time and not needed. They are located on the deck at the nose of the boat. The rear nav light is a light stick you push into the plug on the rear driver side of the boat. i know there sport boats, are they usable for some water sports? Yes. Both boats can still be used for all water sports. The xcs will be slightly better because of its padded keel, the wake will be a bit smoother with less white water. what should these boats run with the standard prop? The xcs with a mag will run a solid 65 possible high 60's. The 24 NuEra with a mag ho will run you into the mid 70's. Reason for the big speed jump even with the bigger boat, the NuEra bottom is a lot more efficient than the xcs Also, the 21 xcs OAL is 22' 8" and the 24 NuEra OAL is 25'. So if length is a factor, keep that in mind. |
thank you for the info!! :)

i haven't gotten either yet, i'm up in Canada and we just got a few more inches of snow:poopoo: so im holding off for a bit better weather to make the few day trek to go see the boats. I am leaning more to the nu era just over the bang-for-the-buck
