Those are very cool! Be cool to find that old magazine on ebay or somewhere.

That story was done in Family & Performance Boats magazine and I have that issue. I would have to dig it up but I know 100 % I have it.

Let me know if you decide to get rid of it. :)

I can make copies for anyone that one that wants them. I will have to dig that issue up. I did find another issue from that same mag that wrote about the LC 2750 Poker Run boat.

If you don't mind, that would be kind of cool.

When I find the one magazine I will post it. Have the one on the 2750 poker run boat in my hands.

Hey Bup, Did you happen to find that magazine? If so I would love to have a copy of that article. I'm almost positive that the 29 in the article is my boat.

yes I have them but I will be out of state for over a week plus the PRI show in Indy. When I get back I will get some other Lavey stories together on top of. I will check that story out in the mag now as I know your boat first hand before you bought from the car dealer. I almost bought your boat before it went to the car dealer.

it looks to be your boat but one thing would confirm much more is that I know your boat is an 02 and the article / magazine was a Nov 2002 issue so it most likely was written 6 months before it came out. So what is the last 4 numbers of your HIN - that will tell me what month and year it was built again the last 4 numbers of your HIN. If it is your boat it would have to been completely built and water tested before May 2002 from Lavey Craft. It sure looks like your boat. Also Lavey has another and longer story in the same mag June 2006. Not your boat 4 sure in that story but I do know who's 29 it is..

Your hull was made Nov 2001. the model year is 2002. K = 11 = Nov, the month the hull was built. Then the 1 after the K is the year the hull was built = 2001. the 02 (the last 2 numbers) is the designated year model meaning 2002. Just like autos that come out in Sept or Nov 2013 are designated model year 2014. Boat manu's do the samething from July on designate the next model year.

OK, So sounds like the time frame works for the magazine article. Where was the boat when you were thinking of buying it?
