New boat on the Lake
 

Just bought a 1977 21 Challenger. Going to do a complete resto on it.Hoping to have it done by mid Summer 2008.Boat is out in Buffalo going to pick it up in about 2 weeks.Wish me luck!

Johnny, the former owner posted a youtube clip of the boat doing a couple of passes. I saw that you watched the video and made a comment about it. If you type in Cocoa Beach Run on youtube you can hear what this thing sounds like....might need to think about mufflers before I show up at the lake!!!

What's the deal for Memorial Day Weekend? Who is going to be out? Last year I remember there being a big party over by Log Bay? Is that happening again this year? Going to try to make it up...Pete should def be up with the AT.

Yeah, meant Labor Day. Still trying to decide if I am going to trailer the boat up for that weekend or not. Took off that Friday before so that I can get an early start and possibly get on the water Friday afternoon. I think my brother Pete is going up there with his AT and I'm pretty sure my Dad will have the Progression up as well. If the two of them make it up I probably will too.

If I don't make it up that weekend I'll def see you for the fun run in Oct.

We stop working halfday, crank up the stereo, fill a couple garbage cans up with ice and beer and invite a bunch of boats over. You and your brother are welcome to join in.:drink:

Hey, so I heard my buddy finally brought his boat up to have you guys put in that 496 HO into his Cobalt. About time he finally made it up there. I think he was saying that he would be staying up there as well for Labor Day weekend if it was ready by then, so even more reason for me to get up there.

I will def be there for Labor day. The boat was down for a few weeks, but I was in Hawaii anyways so no time lost.

What day is the Marina party? I will be on the water Saturday and Sunday.

Yup. I was fiberglassing some stuff so we didnt really get a chance to talk but my dad said they seem like good guys.

Labor day is Monday and I will be heading home. I plan on being out on the lake Saturday and Sunday though.

Yeah, we'll have to see what the hell went wrong with my boat this past weekend, hopefully it is not too bad (but it didn't sound good!!). If it is not a big deal I will be up there with the boat. I'll probably be up there Thursday night, Friday I'm just going to hang out and show this chick I'm taking up there around the area. Johnny, you going to be around the shop on Friday? I was thinking about heading up to BL for lunch, maybe I couls stop by.

Don't know exactly what happened to my boat but it looks like I lost compression in one of my cylinder's (not good!!!). Anyway, regardless of whether or not it is up and running for this weekend, I'm still about 90% sure that I will be up this weekend. I'll be getting in on Thurs leaving on Monday. Figure I will be able to get a ride in my brother or dad's boat.

Who is going to be up and out on the Lake this weekend? Really looking forward to that party over by Log Bay. We were up there last yr with the Scarab and didn't realize that it was going on until much later in the evening when we were heading out. Want to get there early enough this year to experience it more :ernaehrung004:
