call magnum.
somewhere in a thread from a few months ago, someone who worked at the plant posted his name and number to help magnum owners out.
Try and look through older posts.

Yeah , just log onto Magunm's website and they are available in the 'boutique'. I believe they are $32 a set .
The orders are done on an 'internet style' format which I never seem to get responses from ... Magnum included , so I e-mailed them and got a response from Katrin Theodoli herself.

ps A 27 Mag huh ... lucky b****rd !

:D

nocig,I dont no what you lose with a speedmaster,we always run a bravo, but if yu can get your hp in the 7 to 800 range you should be in the 85 to 90 mph range. We have tried 502s,510s and 2 different 540s,and if i was going to race again i would go with the new GM 572 12-1 eng.It is so easy to blow 10 to 12000 on a engine yourself and still not have it right that i cant see how you could go wrong with the GM eng.on top of that i think with the right X and proping you would see at least 90 mph at about 52 to5500 rpm. Re: new mag owner need help

I should have said for a race engine because youll have to run 110 in that puppey.Im running my smaller 540 in Vixen right now for pleasure and can run on 93 with no problems so far,an still keep her in the 80 to 84 range if i push it.I tried one 540 with 13-1 pistons that was awsome but couldnt hold head gaskets for somereason and gave up n that combo.Built another 510 with 12-1s and never had a problem with it other then haveing to use 110.Just some things to think about. If your going race go with the higher comp.for the extra power but if its a pleasure boat dont go past 10-1,but use the most cubes you can put together and run pump gas. due you have more info on build specs or who i can talk to, i dont need to run past 75mph really......i had a 24 cig befor this and i got ejected on lake erie to small of boat and to big of motor, totally my fault. Thats why i bought this mag, floor cut 3 man bolster holds ya in there nice and tight.....

Re: new mag owner need help

Nocig. Its hard to tell someone how to build an engine thats going to work for him, there are so many things like X dim, gear ratio, boat weight and what he wants to spend. When we won the nat.championship in 2003 we were running a 502 10-1 comp.chevy eng.,but we were using gps and could only hit 69.9 or we were dq.I dont think yu would be happy with that, although it was the cheapest eng we had and run for 3 years with no more then a new set of bearings each year.I still have it on a rolling stand in the shop and fire it up every month for a half hour.Magnums like power and if i wanted 75mph i would build a 540 10-1 eng.and if i was going to have it built in the lake erie area i would call Tyler Crockett marine engines.he is one of the top builders in that area.
