27 Sport Anniversary Edition

Reader more than a writer but thought some might be interested. Spoke to Giovani Theodoli at Magnum and they have a 27 Sport they are working on. Original
Hull with new deck. 3 Engine packages available, Single 700hp, Twin 496 HO, or Single Cummings Diesel. Bravo XR Drives. Boat will be a sitdown version with Recarro seats and built to order from there. Wood cockpit or fiberglass, and your choice of gauges. Price to be around $200,000.00 plus. Sounds a little high for me but would be fun building one from scratch. There are a couple of pictures on the Mag website in the "Press Releases Section." Who is going to order the first one?

I'm glad they're building it but I like the old ones.....:)

Steve,

My 73 cost me $13K with a Float-on trailer with the same engine package.

Thank you
Jim

i'd like to see that hull with a step in, with 700hp thing would go 90 mph!

200K is steep anyway you look at it, granted you'll have a one of a kind sweet boat but.....
whats 20K in 1975 adjusted for inflation... 85,000 or so. Probably push a few more of the new mags at the 100K price range, but I dont think thats there goal regardless...

Magnum has been working on the new boat for 3 plus years...priced to high will never sell..can re build one and it will be just as good as new one for half the price.Bud

Sparky [Vicious One] here on OSO, owns Vicious Marine Inc. He has a steped Magnum type hull that he can build. I looked at it last month, very nice. I'm sure he could beat the 200k price.

Second That!

Theres no question that you can rebuild an old hull and not only have a sweet boat but far far far far less than 200K in it. Mine is nearly back to life after the "mishap" and should be better than before at a 10th of the that cost!

Magnum's ethos is not exactly directed toward the masses......I'm sure they'll sell to a select few.

Still think this boat is way cooler!
