Educate me

I tried to post pics the other night and it said "invalid file"

Do you guys have any ideas? They are JPEG files, maybe they are just too big....

I'm still smiling from today!!!!! Oh that sound!

Life is good:)

Not so good

Took S/C out yesterday.

At about 75-80 MPH the port drive blew....Certainly got my attention!!!.....When we assembled the boat I noticed the left drive oil was severely discolored. The right side drive looked freshly overhauled which we later confirmed......It's funny in a way because I remember saying "heck I've had to buy everything else, the only thing left is that drive".....I spoke too soon! New drive will be installed tomorrow :(

The saga continues.....

Jet i am glad that everything will work out for you.
i love my mag and i will do anything to keep her running strong.
i spoke with Bud not too long ago and he mention that my drives were too low, and yes i agree with Bud,
Does anyone here can give me some advise in the cheapest way to make my drives higher?besides taking out my gimbos and reopening the holes,Do they sell a shorter lower unit? What do u guys think

CIG3 07-17-2008 08:48 PM

There are always 2" shorties in the classifieds

Eddito 07-17-2008 09:16 PM

do you think that will solve the problem? and my other question is:if i go to a shorter lower unit ,would that give me more top end??

DareDevil 07-17-2008 10:32 PM

Shorter, less drag ,more speed !:evilb:

I would say the anything you can d oto raise the "X" dimension on your boat would help your top end. But remember that with your current power your speed is probably if not approx. 60mph. you will want to consider external steering if you want to go faster.

I am with you on that, loosing the steering at over 50 hurts.:party-smiley-004:
