Engine hatch mods are making progress.

Smooth = Fast in my book.

Going to check on the hull progress tomorrow.

Hull is coming along good. The reason the deck was breaking is because there was a bulkhead that was never bonded to the deck on the starboard side. Wood was roting a little because moisture was penetrating. Bulkhead is getting fixed and adding a brace underneath.

Adding 1 of these vents on both sides and running 4" PVC to plum additional air into the engine compartment from these vents. I don't want to put scoops on the engine hatch, because I just don't like them.

These vents should work just as good as a scoop, if not better because I can channel the airflow where I want it to be.

I might even add 1 or more in fron of the fairing to ventilate the cockpit. Not sure on that yet.

Opinions?

It should be able to get out through the side vents.

Hatch doesn't have any holes in it. Those vents are up on the sides of the deck.

I'm not complaining. Got my best guys working on it. If I try to do it all myself, it will be winter again before I put it back together.

Don't forget to put the american flags back on the nose.

Now let me look at this.

If I was to go racing with it one day, I would have to put vinyl over this paint job. Where would those go, and what would they look like?

Instead of orange to yellow, can we go red to orange. Finish the orange towards the back of the boat where the seats have the orange in them. What are your thought on that?
