Looking for Lifeline parts

Need some parts to finish of the lifeline on the racing Maltese...need the two pad eyes for the bow and below the windshield,plus the swage fork. Have the line and turnbuckle...please let me know,trying to get it done for Lake St Claire. Bud

the lifeline fork is standard sailboat hardware, and the pad can be matched with similar stuff from a sailing shop . .
Lifeline tip . . as the old Mags have eyelets through which the lifeline runs that will fray ss wire over time, use coated life lines from sailboats, but before swaging on the end fittings, slide on some short pieces of thin wall ss tube (that is well deburred), the two end pieces should have a small radius bend, and epoxy these in place to protect the cable at the bends / end stanchions. a few places for hardware http://www.bosunsupplies.com/Deck_Stanchion.CFM http://www.riggingonly.com/pad_eyes_...raps.04htm.htm http://www.highlandrigging.com/PadEyes.html I was once a sailor, some day when I can relax I'll do this again! |
