Magnum 38 ???

Can anyone identify Magnum Marine Hull #MAG351170173 and is it possibly a 38' 0" long hull? If so what might it be worth, without a trailer but complete [email protected]

That HIN sounds like a 35, not a 38.

It is a 35.keel laid on Jan. 1973... could be the 117th built.I have seen pricing from the $30's to $200,000 plus. All depends on the condition. Bud

Hey Bud

Chris in Virginia. I am interested in learning what happened to the 1987 or 1988 63' Magnums used in the Miami-Bimini-Miami Searaces. You seem to know more about Magnums than Mrs. Theodoli herself! I want to buy an older surface drive Magnum, 50-60 foot range, that runs at least 50 kts, or find an old Arneson drive hull, that I can redo. I want to make a fast express boat that I can also fish out of. I need to be able to get the rear cockpit/deck flat, so I can mount a removable fighting chair, and place loungers when out cruising. I am thinking we will need 1200-1500 HP each to get what I want.

Ideas??? [email protected]

I didn't measure it but the person selling it claimed it was 38" maybe with some surface drives and a total length it is??

Thanks guys

Chris put out your request in the classic boat section and get it touch with Charlie from HOBA or Browne they can point you in the right direction...try the Magnum site. Also some one here might be able to help. I will talk to some people at Magnum that have been helpful in the past. Bud

I don't know if you will fit that size power in a 53-63 w/o a raised engine hatch.

Hallo there Drex. She's a Magnum 35 manufactured in January 1973 and it's hull 117. This boat might be worth $20,000. A nice to Bristol 35 goes for around $30,000-$50,000 these days and if she's got well running diesels add another $30,000. There's plenty of them on the market at the moment, so You can be pretty choosy. Buy the nicest one You find even though it might break Your budget slightly, since You can spend a fortune restoring one. A mint 1979 Magnum 38 sold in Stuart Florida for just under $120K with twin 440 Yanmars and Arnesons. Two last owners spent close to $800,000 total to restore it. Had only three seasons on last $600,000 part of resto. Boat is called "United" and somebody got themself a lot of boat for the money.

Good luck hunting.

Interesting how that cockpit isn't flush.
I know on our 38 it was, and on our friends 35 it was too.
