I wonder what kind of speed they get with those 500 hp engines?

I know she would break out in P-5 class. [75mph] Speeds of 80 to 85mph would be believable.

She does move!

My wife and I hit 87mph on the gps speedo last fall on Lake Erie between Bay Point and Kellys Island...Fastest I've ever had her..:evilb:

She's a great boat, gonna miss her!

Great piece of history, good luck with the sale. Curious, what exaust you have? I'm looking to replace the dry pipes on my Starfire.

Thanks - Marshall

Gil wet exhaust...

Take care!

You;d look good in that. Amazing how a little interior work and the boat picked up 10-15 mph over when Skip raced it. Wink Wink.....Sand Baggers.....:bsflag:

You have no clue what I have done to this boat and how much I've spent......

I really don't care how fast it is or isn't, this boat only has meaning due to its history, thats enough for most...

When Short Circuit raced, class 5 was bracketted at 70 mph. A stock 27 Magnum with old TRS drives could have easily broken 70 mph.
I believe JET posted a legit top end speed. The sandbagging was done when it raced.
Still a beautiful boat!

That is what I was talking about. I believe the top speed as posted. When Skip raced the boat they sand bagged big time.

Sorry for not being clear on my post.

Beautiful boat and huge history.
