27 MAGNUM 06-28-2010 11:50 AM

Thank you for your kind comments,

"Low Rider" is a 1976 Mag, #329 and just finished her 2nd Poker Run this weekend. A pleasure to drive, great attitude, and handles assisted by full Hyd. Latham Steering.

She has not been wet in 25yrs. the poor girl became a parts boat in the early 80's. up here in Buffalo and was left for dead. I bought the bare hull and restored her over the last 6 winters in my garage.

Power is twin 1972 LT-1's 350/450's I converted from TRS to twin Bravo 1's. X-is working well at 2-1/2" high on 33" ctr's. I constructed the faring, eng. hatch, floor, and new gas tank covers from Nida-Core to shave wt. and will dial in to run in the mid 80's.

As I get more Pics, I will get them posted, I hope to put them all when time allows. Thanks again for the support, its was very challenging at times, but this site and all Magnum owners and fans kept me going to bring her back from the dead.

Andy, I really like the "no nonsense" clean look, it's got real attitude!...... I have a '76 sport hull # 341 I'm at the beginning of my venture. I give you alot of credit for taking a bare hull
(minus significant deck parts) and fabricating all that was missing to turn her out. I'm where you were 6 years ago!

Beautiful job, timeless look.
I have been looking for one of those hulls for awhile and haven't found one yet, anyone know where there is one wanting a new home?

After 6 years and over 2000 man hours it sure does! I don't know how many times I climbed in and out of that boat restoring her, but I hope to catch up on the water. I have spent 3 nights on her already - so much fun! 4th of July weekend was great, I kept her wet all 3 days. Lots of guy's complementing me on what a nice boat, but I tell them "its not a boat its a MAGNUM"

Well done

Andy,

Please share more about the engines .. . . I'm in the midst of building two new 383s for my 68 Magnum 27.
