I'm so early in this restoration of what I expect to be a 3 year process - Anything can change though!

[QUOTE=HIGH LIFE;3187152]scippy,To get a look at what can be done look on Boat Trader, there is a twin o/b with lenghtened cockpit, boat is a '74. "HIGH LIFE"[/QUOTE
The Wide open cockpit space virtually to the transom makes this mag sport very interesting in deed. HIGH LIFE- I know you run Merc 300 twins on your sedan and run about 78 mph- What do you think the mag sport does with those twin Yammy 2.6 Vmax? .........Also, what performance do you think a mag sport would have w/twin Merc 300's compared to your sedan?

scippy, Found another boat on Powerboatlisting, a 1990 28' Carrera w/twin 300 PM... also in Key Largo. Seems like o/b are the power of choice. Todays o/b are superior to what they used to be. Come to Boston some time for a ride, than you can make a educated decision. "HIGH LIFE"

New high today with 74 at 5400 WOT.
The slip is only 5% so with these props we need more RPM to gain speed. I think we can increase the RPM by adjusting the ignition for the 95 octane fuel we are running. She is not lacking power but she just stops revving at 5400 so my guess is it's the ignition.

First run of the year and 69 @ 5000 was today's speed. Slip is only 5% and she has plenty of power.
Next step now is to try some other props. First up are 23" cleavers and after that we're testing 25" Mirage. I wonder if we can make 80 this year.
