For some of us who weren't there... back in the day....
How fast were these boats running at that time?

Mario here are the speeds from the Charles's Crab speed run on the St Clair River from 1976. My old Mag was called SHOWDOWN P-60 back then & it was the fastest Magnum there @ 65mph with the stock Trs 280 package.

Any updates? That is pretty cool that yours is the 1st Maltese out of the mold and I think it's a good call leaving it tangerine as well.

I have a couple of questions. What centerline are your engines/drives mounted at, and what is the dimension from the transom plate to the rub rail? Also did you run into any problems mounting the K Planes where you have them? I am installing the same SP drives and transoms on my sport along with the 280 K Planes.

was there ever a 74' 28ft Maltise with a single screw, or for it to be that way someone needed to change this? Also, is there provenance that can be obtained from a hull id, and if so, any idea where ?
