I bought a 28.8 aero and was under the impression that was a 27 magnum. The boat was even registered as a magnum starfire thinking I had a good find. After getting into the disassemble process I realized that it was a hack job boat. None of the bolts match for starters, all the wood was rotten which I expected. Someone told me about the Oso website so I posted my find and that's when h2o figured out what I had. After looking at Klems messes and knowing the history of the man I chose not to sink good money into a boat that has a tarnished reputation. I really liked the lines of the hull but I parted it out and crushed it in a land fill. I came out a few bills ahead. Now I have a magnum sport I'm redoing(1972) and it makes the Klem(1985) look like a Kia. Just my opinion. Look in the awesome boat forum and search for Jim Klem for my reasons for scrapping the project.
