32 Maltese?
Was there ever a 32ft Maltese built? Was there ever a 32ft magnum that looks like a maltese built?
|
Bud
That's a question for you.... |
No, and No
|
Then the hull im looking at must be a 28 maltese. What is a hull trailer drives and engines worth? Boat is taken apart.
|
Onefastt,
For what its worth, I sold a 27 stripped (no engines/drives/steering) Magnum sport hull for $3,000. You really need to post more info. such as condition of engines/drives, what make, is the trailer steel/aluminum does the hull need glass work? A picture is worth a thousand words. Magnums are great boats, however a project boat can cost more than one that has already been re-habbed. I'm sure others will jump in and post their thoughts. Good Luck...and post pics!! |
Guess this is a good deal then. I can do all of the restoration work myself so ill save there. Its on a triple axle aluminum trailer.

Is that this one in Slidell, LA ? It most likely a 28' mag with a state issued title.

$2K is what I paid for the two 280 drives for my own Magnum 27. After that I spent another $3500 to have both of them completely rebuilt be able to take 550 hp each. This boat here does not have Volvo drives and my comments were mostly intended to be an outline for someone contemplating the rebuild of this boat. And the reality of it is if someone has the time, the investment into this boat this level makes no financial sense, it has to be purely for the personal desire own a unique Magnum. |

My 27' Sedan I'm rebuilding now was in the advertised price range this Maltese was priced at.. With me doing 95% of all the work my self & finding all the parts needed in my garage & on ebay & craigslist I will have around 16k in this one when done. But once you have to ad paid labor to your restoration ad a least 10k to the price, and lots of aggravation waiting to get the work done. My biggest expense is getting a new interior, Mario your interior price is right on target, as that is something I cant do myself yet. |
What will you be doing for engines?

Jeff a Sea Giraffe , well besides being known as the ice man outside of Minneapolis up there they call him the Lake Minnetonka Loch Ness Monster.:D:D:D |
The low freeboard does confirm and also enhances the truth behind the "Sea Giraffe" ........with those limbs he has to be a contortionist in the engine bay!
I'm sure he takes this all in good fun!! |

Unfortunately I've only had the pleasure of knowing all of you here on these powerboat forums..
So my question is is the purple boat belonging to Jeff and is that him at the helm? That is one absolutely beautiful boat but seriously what the hell is the rag doing on the deck? That's as bad as a sailboat with bumpers hanging overboard! :-) Somehow while looking for this 28 Maltese online I found a Magnum 25 in Louisiana on craigslist. http://gulfport.craigslist.org/boa/4211831710.html |
