Scippy,
I thought I'd add some comments after spending the weekend on my boat with the Vee windshield. My boat has the stock seats on the stock height floor. Cruising at 45 mph while sitting, the wind is in my face. So I tried to figure out how high would the windshield need to be to not have any wind in my face? Not being able to make my windshield taller I decided I would just lower my head, and from that try to establish how much taller it would need to be to keep the wind flowing over my head. That dimension is approximately 6 to 7 inches. Ironically that's about the height of the stock glass the windshield. The removable cushion on my stock seats is about 3 inches thick. If I lower my cockpit floor the maximum amount and then lower my seatposts I should be about right for a "no wind in the face" ride. But then I might just buy a cabin cruiser , why own a Magnum 27 ? |
Mario,
I think you said your windshield 11" top center height ..........my windscreen is 9" but with a curl at the top (I hit it with the really big shop fan and the air flow was over my head) plus the cockpit sole is lower by 4"......................of course being underway (in the real world) on the ocean will be the ultimate test, but so far I can fool myself into thinking I'm sucessful.........it's true, then why own a Mag 27? |
