Opinions needed
While enjoying a few cold ones and looking at my sedan yesterday I came up with an idea for my windshield. I removed and sold my original windshield as I want to go with something low profile. My thought now is a handrail following the lines of a low profile windshield with a couple of lexan wind deflectors mounted to it. I thought the look would mimic the chicken bars some of the old race sports had. What do you guys think?

For what my opinion is worth, I think that is a great concept. Clean line, more modern thought, but still with a nod to convention.
Looking forward to seeing some full sized mock ups on the boat. Good luck. Kalaazar |
I'm a traditional kind of guy and I think the deflectors look like the person who designed the boat forgot about the wind and had to stick on some random pieces of Plexiglas for protection.I also prefer the low profile look, but I have to put up with the wind as payment. I hope you like your sedan as much as I like mine.Post pictures?

American Marine Products made the original windshields for the Magnums and are still in business. I had them make a cut-down custom windshield for my old sedan when I restored it. All they need is a measurement for the height you want on the leading edge of the windshield and they can make a full frame windshield. I'm not sure but they may make the frameless plexiglass shorties as well. Here's their information:
