Can't you adapt a power trim unit to hoses drives? Run hydraulic steering back to the tiller, stock look with better handling.

Remember the ad for this Magnum about 10 years ago on Yachtworld. The photos had me mesmerized. Had newer interior then and the boat was beautiful. Looks great now btw. This one should be a keeper.

So just wondering. Did this boat ever sell or is it still available.

Its still available. There is a member from here from Long Island coming up here in a couple of days to have a look at it.
The fact that it is potentially for sale is only mentioned here. I have not advertised it anywhere, since i have reservations about selling it to someone who doesn't know what a time capsule this Magnum is. Its on here with the hope that an enthusiast buys it and I can follow it !
I would also trade it for a pair of drop in BBCs for my Carolina Classic or a single Mercruiser Scorpion 350 330hp inboard to match the new one I have here.

Its still pretty nice. The gelcoat looks great and cabin is pristine. The bench seat needs redoing since the stitches pulled apart. I think there was a leak in the roof of the shelter right over the bench seat since the rest of it is dry and in great shape. The front deck is due for a repaint but otherwise the restoration is holding out very well.
