Just want to stoke the the fires of the old schoolers still out there! Still trying to keep the memories alive and revel in the craftsmanship that once was. 40 years ownership and a lifetime of memories still being made and enjoyed!

Thanks Padraig. I was just getting depressed over the lack of activity in Magnum Owners Group! Can it be that they are almost forgotten? What a shame.

That is indeed a beautiful Maltese. Unfortunately, a large portion of the current boating world are ignorant of the part that Magnum (especially the 27's) played in the evolution of offshore boating. Harry Schoell's hull designs are brilliant and the boats built from those designs are timeless. I owned a 27 Sedan for 30 years. It never let me down, took lots of abuse and always amazed people at how old it actually was. It pains me to see how companies like Magnum and Cigarette have forsaken the hulls that are the backbone of their legend. Oh well. I'll never forget them and I try to educate people I know of the history of these great boats.

Jeff,,, Brownies the old Jacks @ Emerald City is still closed for the winter waiting for them to reopen . The other problem may be the ultra high water here on Lake St Clair may effect a location. I let you know when I know.
