This Thread is getting more and more boring.

You're missing the point entirely. This isn't about Fountain boats or the man himself. It isn't even about his various guerilla marketing campaigns, including his latest concoction, Cat Killer. This is about Reggie coming in here and messing this place up. As I said before, PBM was a great magazine. Bob Nordskog died and Reggie bought his way into the good graces of their editorial with 5 & 6 page spreads inside the front cover... and PMB's editorial credibility was immediately doomed. But the Nordskog kids were able to whore out their father's labor of love for a few bucks. Now if they were willing to pimp their father's passion for a couple year's worth of nice checks, what do you think a publicly traded copropration that doesn't even know which side of the boat goes down is going to do.

Reggie will buy his way in to here. Right now, as I type, I'm looking at one of his blinking banner ads. About a third to half the ads on here have Fountain or Fountain co-op content. If you're OK with having this place become the online equivalent of PBM, then that's what you'll get.

Chris,I get your point completely and you are totaly correct. I am just sick of the B.S. not just on here but what I hear out in the real world Reggie this and Fountian that. I will admitt they build a fast boat but so do most of the others and you don't hear the lie's coming from them and fooling customers into thinking they are getting something there not. They don't represent themselves with any truth in the true sprit of offshore boating or inland lake poker runs for that matter. I haven't had a script to P.B. in years for just the reasons you said and its sad, but I am sick of the whole thing. Kepp up the good work

hea guys wanted to chime in here on this topic. i feel the same way when reading alot of the one-sided stories or race results about how fountains dominated the race.

well we raced SBI on sunday, second race, 3rd start in p1, and i was the only cat (32 dw) out of 8 boats. they started us with p2 and super V and V unlimited and all fountains except for the lonely skater. got cut off by micasukee at the start but we were able to get around all of them except taboo by the first turn. by t-4 after the front straight we were able to get the inside lane on taboo and took the lead. we finished in 1st and got our trophy from reggie, i just wasn't feeling the love when gave it to us. for some reason i don't think we'll make the broadcast on fountain tv!

Your right there DAREDEVIL these guys really get monotonous. I have been reading these threads for years and thought I would hop on…but who wants to get blown away by some Zealots???? I get it! The Fountain stock stinks, and some people have a hair up their AZZ with Reggie. Firstly, by Sunkin: If you would have taken all you had and all your family had and invested it in this stock back then, I don't think you'd be too happy right. Why would ANYONE EVER put all their eggs in one basket…HELLO, the stock market is a glorified casino…its gambling. If you want to LOOSE money, step right up. If Reggie believed in his product and SOMEONE READ the prospectus WHO makes you call your broker…someone twist your arm…did Reggie do that too???? I came out of the high end retail business. Would I ever buy retail stock, hell know. You guys whine because YOU CHOOSE to take A GAMBLE and now you lost. Shame on you Reggie…YOU DON”T GIVE GUARANTEES ???? I don’t even know the guy but I do know nobody twisted your arms. Did I just read Fountain bought Baja?…takes assets to do that? There is something somewhere? And what is this Cat Killer business. Yeah, I have a Fountain…and it is SOOOOME boat. So far it is doing just what the MARKETING said it would do. Pretty cool the CK is a Fountain. Saw it race in Key West when it was run by Shogren…Now some guy (outta NY) actually bought it to sell boats at a dealership. AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE? I WOULD IMAGINE THE NEW OWNERS ARE CAMPAGNING THEIR BOAT and dam proud they actually own the thing. (Still think them sterling’s are mighty fine, like to have a set) WHAT SECRET…Billy Frenz, the ORGANIZER of the poker run knew the CK was coming. Bout 40 of us stayed till 11:30pm waiting to see it arrive from NC. AWESOME graphics!!!! Very patriotic (NOW IS SOMEHTING WRONG WITH THAT TOO???) I thought the new owners were going to piss in their pants with excitement…they brought the boat to their hometown…it’s a NY boat now!!!!!!! By the way you should see the corvettes one of the owners brought from the Car part of the dealership…AWESOME classics.

I've had 2 cats (Eliminators) - and have yet to be out paced by a similar powered and similar sized vee - let alone a fountain.
