Miami Vice was one of the coolest shows. Spent many Fri. nights at home watching, much to the then GFs now wife's wishes
|
Don't know where they ever came up with the names they gave these episodes and the wild imagination they had that offshore racers were like that.
|
Charlie it was the 80īs and Miami was what it was...
But the Great McCarthy one of these ? Sal Magluta, and good ole Ben Kramer, George Morales... P.S. we have that boat from Yankee Dollar on the board. |

That single episode of the Great McCarthy was so inspiring that I bought the boat..........................
I think that many of us got our first taste of powerboating from Miami Vice and could see first hand what it was all about. It moved me so much I wanted the boat ever since it aired in 1985 on TV. I finally got it last January. I had a GREAT summer playing with it and travelling all around Lake Ontario. I will be at the Thousand Island Poker run next year too. I was there this year, but in my friends boat as navigator, but everyone I talked to told me to bring my boat just for the nastalgia! I can't go as fast as the new boats of today, but I'll cruise along with the pack as best as I can. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n202/ve3lt/mv3-1.jpg |

When I was in the Military serving abroad we didn't have television or anything, but a buddy's mom kept sending him these video tapes of a show that everyone in the states was raving about. The show, Miami Vice.
Miami Vice is the sole reason this boy from Minnesota got into offshore boats. Great post. Thx |
