Somebody oughta tell them boats dont turn well when on the rubrail!!!

Can someone explain to me why those boats have such extreme handling characteristics? It looks like the prop is slamming the boat over onto the rubrail as they try to make a turn. Some of those re-entries look like they shouldn't be so dramatic but all of a sudden the boat shoots off at 90 degrees.

That looks like total mahem. Fun, but scary.

I had a friend with a KMV CC sometime in the mid 80's that did the same thing. If you weren't careful turning at slower speeds the boat would suddenly surge over onto the side and nearly dump you out.
