Where is this River/ Lake located it really looks nice ? I would like to check it out next year. What town had the best public ramps ?

Northern Illinois. Its the chain of lakes and fox river. The best ramps are in Fox Lake.

ditto,,yes its fox lake area.. the easiest ramp to get to would be ben watts marina on 12..i put in a the port of blarneys,,that put's you in the middle of the chain..fair warning,,if you dont know where your going you will ding your propr so if you have a dinged up set put them on until you know were you are going..just make sure you stay in the marked channels when going slow and hug the middle..if on pistakee of fox lake ansd the river your a ok..
