I never paid much attention to the details on the boat before. I notice some shots had the twin spots on the arch and some had no spots. Also, some shots had the flat hatch instead of the race hatches.

Yes, there were 4 different Scarab boats that featured as Crockett's boat for seasons 2-5 of the series.

Or 3? One 87 boat painted from an 85-87 paint scheme (white arch, turquoise gunnels hull side stripe outlining in white) to an 88 up, meaning silver arch black gunnels and spots and side stripe outlining in silver.

Season 5 episode 11 shows the 4th boat, without a radar arch even, and its appearance is only for a few seconds right at the beginning of the episode. It sold in January 2013, out of Miami to a fellow in Mississippi, for $9,995. Boat was supposedly in sad condition and needed everything.
