Thanks for the replies guys. It sucks but these last two marinas mentioned were not looking for a easy $300 to $500 bucks for 4 to 6 weeks. Hope Springs told my dad that yeah he could rent a slip out for $900.00 for 4 or 6 weeks I dont remember which length of time they said.

Its not like we dont have somewhere to go IF they had someone else interested in the slip for a year contract. All we would need is a couple of days notice and the boat would be back down to Point Lookout quickly.

I assume that both of these marinas have at least a couple of open slips available still. Oh well its there loss not ours. We saved the $700 bucks on fuel by not having to make the trip up and back down to where the boat stays in the water.
