Coles Point Poker Run
 

How was the Poker Run, had to cancel and wondered how it went. I know some thunderstorms rolled through in the afternoon. Hope all had a good time.

Had a blast, my bud never-satisfied(Dean) came off their honeymoon early for the run, luggage lost, but came anyway and they won the pot, so, well deserved. The one critique I had was the dinner buffet, not hittn on much, the rockfish was about the only saviour, and I filled up on it. We didnt get much rain at Coles Point, storm skimmed over us, but the beer was cold and we all just sat in the bar. Great group of people, hats off to Jerry for a great job. Had to come back to work to give my liver a break, Jammin is next.

Jerry does a great job. Glad everyone had a good time, sorry we missed everyone. Will be at Jammin.

We missed you and Sharon... I was a good time as usual The St Clements stop was especially fun.

On behalf of the Coles Point Vol. Fire Dept. and myself, I would like to thank you for attending the 2008 poker run. It was a great day on the water and the event was a huge success again this year. The donation to the fire dept. will be more than last year all because of you. It is people like yourself that makes this event successful, without you, it would not happen. I estimate that the donation to the fire dept. will be $16,000.00 this year compared to $12,000.00 last year. I know that our brave firefighters appreciate every penny of this and each of you should be very proud of yourself for making it happen.
