And who will be out THIS weekend > 4/5

Not me. Just wanted to start the thread. (Although I may be out this afternoon in a friends boat on Lanier - 42'Excal Hawk)

Stryker 04-05-2002 09:55 AM

Not me either.:(

Started wheel bearing maintenance and I need new trailer brakes. I won't see water for several weeks. oh well hell.

cougarcat 04-05-2002 11:38 AM

Not here----the mercury will have to at least touch 70 at some point during the day or I'll hear about it from my navigator. Maybe next weekend.
Stryker---Did the brakes last year---it's a job but was much easier just buying the whole backing plate(new springs, shoes, cylinders, etc) already assembled. Four bolts, and the line---- on and off. Then bleed the whole thing(Angies favorite part----she gets to push the surge in and out with the handle of a large Snap-on ball peen hammer) while I crawl around under the trailer. I think they were 10.5" brakes and the local trailer store charged $60.00 each---new--- times the four wheels. After I got the drums off I was glad I went new. Everything looked REAL bad. See ya in Florida??????

Going Saturday. Boat already hooked up and ready to go. I bought the TIE DOWN disc brakes and love them. No more messing with drum brakes!!!!!

RedWarlock 04-05-2002 05:46 PM

Looks like we're gonna go out either in the cruiser, or the Warlock. Decisions, decisions...

Hey LS-7, how's the engine coming along?

Out There 04-05-2002 06:08 PM

Boat goes in on Saturday if all is well and will be out again on Lanier Sunday. Southlake, Young Deer Creek area. Can't wait to try out York labbed props.

racefever 04-05-2002 07:32 PM

toonatime 04-05-2002 10:00 PM

Sure ..since 1st weekend in march..

speedbump 04-06-2002 09:20 AM

Well, we won't be out on Saturday....big MAYBE on Sunday. Chris converted our drums to discs and we got to go for a "test brake" around the neighborhood Saturday to make sure all STOPS well. I'm sure they'll be great. Everything else is done except re-attach the swim platform and the extensive cleaning this baby needs since November......seems like forever.

Hope to see everyone soon!!! I'm about to die from boat/lake withdrawal.

DW/RedWarlock....you know between ya'll Mr. "Which Boat do I drive today" and Mr. Ron I don't know who is worse............must be nice to have a that kind of problem:rolleyes:

Toonatime....hope to meet you soon!!!:D

Stryker....HURRY UP!

Racefeaver..........man, sorry to hear about that. Best I did this weekend was finish up some upholstery stuff i've wanted to do. (and probably could not take any more sun, since I look like a Maine Lobster exhibit from the car show yesterday).......OUCH IT HURTS!!!!

RedWarlock 04-07-2002 09:25 PM

Great weekend!

Well, we were out all weekend on the cruiser, and took the Warlock out today to play. I think the engines finally breaking in cause it ran 74 mph on GPS!!!:D A little windy, but not to terribly cold in the afternoon. Spreedbump came out, and Seadated made a 1 hour appearance before heading for home. Johnny O. & Ron came out as well! Allirunner was out on Sat. with some friends as well.

Racefever, sorry to hear about the meltdown.:( Hopefully it's something minor and not too hard or expensive to fix/replace.

LS-7, Is it really that bad??? Or are you just getting antsy to come out and play? ;)

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

kaamacat 04-08-2002 03:28 AM

Redwarlock...........You gotta be happy with those #'s.:D Question for you. Are there any Allatoona access ramps (near where you are) up on the RT20 side. I ask, because I drove over that way this past week to Rome?

It must have been a great weekend for boating. I could here the big-guns running late today from the house:( :( . Must be the pre-season mating call of the fiberglasus-gous-fastus.

RedWarlock 04-08-2002 07:43 AM

Access ramps...

Kaamacat,
As far as ramps on the rt20 side of Allatoona, I honestly couldn't tell ya... We use the Allatoona Landing ramp off I75 north (Allatoona Emerson exit, That's where we keep the cruiser) I'll be glad to find ya some if ya want to. We live in Lawrenceville, but I pretty much grew up on Allatoona so that's why I'm up there. But I do have a lake map so I'd be glad to take a look for ya! :)

Hope to make it up to Lanier a few times this year myself, so I'll have to look you guys up!

Tom
