can anyone give some info on lake kerr ? is there speed restrictions?

Kerr lake along the NC/VA border?...also known as Buggs Island? No speed restrictions but at 50-55 mph it's a 15 min cruise from the dam to the end of each of 2 "fingers". Not very big for a skater unless your just looking for a test run.

To the south end from the damn yes, but there is alot more lake than that.

clean water lake, a little low now. but a nice wide long lake was there last month and ran 100+ miles at 70+ and had a blast. just watch beaching, muddy in spots and a little rocky, but there are some deep water soft sand beaches. PM me for more info.

yep, I bet the top two are at the island. If so, that is very close to my mom's house.

yea looks like the nort side of the island, stay away from the south side rocky and mud, surprised that he is not surrounded by pontoons.:drink:

Let some of the secrets out and maybe there would be more noise to run off all the pontoons... Been looking for some nice places with powerboats to hang out but haven't been able locate. Give some details, bouy# ect.

Didn't mean to butt into the conversation. The pontoon comment just rang true to me or anyone else thats been on the lake before. I had heard there were some nice places to beach but don't know the coves well enough to find where eveyone goes. Sounded like you guys know so thought I'd ask.

have to look at he map but the island is called bahamas, small strip of islands and shallows.(it is marked very good) beleve markers 1-5. another place is Jaws beach in a cove but very deep water at the beach. there are plenty more thoes are the 2 that i go to. By the way I also have a pontoon, But I dont hang with the "others" :party-smiley-004:

Between markers 1 and 3 it is shallows this time of year... only a few feet I would guess... and do NOT ask how this is known!
The rest of the lake is actually clean compared to say Jordan Lake, alot of stumps and tree debris there.
I have had the police show up with some of the boats I tested there... the cop was like, " niiiice boat... just here to suffice the blue hairs .. cannot enforce any laws though, there are non except for the no wake zone. "
So after that I gave him a cigar and he left.
The W.A.F.I.'s and pontooners have not been that bad though, alot of thumbs up there... especially the drunks. Hell, you ARE basically in VER-GIN-YU . LOL

I put in at falls a couple of times to test know that lake very well (pontoon again). alot of crazy looks and pulled every time no numbers etc..same thing at jorden but only went once by request. kerr is by far the better of the triangle lakes:drink:

Anyone going to be on the lake for Memorial Day weekend?

We will be there Aug 26,7,8,9th and mayby in July.:drink::drink::drink:

I know Lakefest is going on in Clarksville July 15th-17th with fireworks on the 17th.

There will be three boats from the chester area there Friday afternoon til Monday. We will probably be around Kimble Point. My sister and Bro-in-law will have their camper there. We will have two 32' Sunsations and a 30' Formula. Look for us!

We'll be looking for you. I'll be down there along with David with his 26 Velocity. Let me quess who the other Sunsation is.... John?
