Hot Spots Chesapeake Bay

Its that time. Getting hotter by the day. I'd like to hear everyone's favorite hot spot. Restaurant, Bars, Beaches, Coves, anywhere. Looking to try some new spots this year. Primarily South river / Tighlman Island and north. Thanks.

Hi Steve, first of all I'd like to invite you over to www.cbpba.com . Even if you decide not to join us, the website is free and we will list lots of activities and events all season long that are going on. We go to most of the Bay hot spots over the course of the summer during our activities and have impromptu raft ups announced almost every week we do not have an official activity going on. One of our first activities this year is a cruise to Thursday's Crab House on the West river, great dock and dine place. A bunch of us head over to Lowes Wharf behind Poplar Island too, great tiki bar, good food, and usually live music on the weekends. I'm sure others will chime in also, feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions, thanks.

Did they have the tent and all that? Some of us were over there on Sunday. I gotta admit that would be a cool place to get married, right at sunset. We stage one of the largest raft ups at the Blue Angels in Annapolis on May 25, if you wanna come, everyone is welcome, I will personally buy (hand) you the first boat soda :evilb:

Red Eyes, Jelly Fish Joels, several places on that end of the bay. Solomons Island on the middle of the bay at the mouth of the Patuxent river. Tiki Bar, Vera's Seabreeze.

Not a big fan of red eyes. haven't been to Jelly fish Joels yet. I've been boating this area for 9 years now and i feel like there a lot places I don't know about. been goin to the same places over and over.

Hit the wild duck this sat. Then cruised down to the Jetty. Was a good time. Thanks for the input. Keep em coming...

Hard Yacht is cool, we started a poker run there last year, they took real good care of us, I'd like to get back there on a "normal" day and check it out, then head up the creek to Beach House.

I was there this past Sunday doing some work. That deck does get packed, and a pretty good band.

There was a Blue & White cat..maybe a Spectra called "Stocks N Blondes" docked up.

Yep! Rowboat Willies is a fun place too, a friend of mine bartends there on Friday nights, so thats when we all stop in..its not an all night hang out spot, but its good for a couple drinks...

Never made it to Hard Yacht last year, heard it was okay..

Wild Duck is getting alot better..once Riverwatch gets too packed, everyone starts to head over to the Duck, they just expanded their Tiki Bar too!

I keep my boat in Galloway Creek, but live on Frog Mortar Creek, usually stop at all the local spots on the way back in on Sunday...

I dont know where "old road bay" is...but we usually raft up at Still Pond, Fairlee or Heart Miller, look for the Sonic & stop over..

We're on Galloway Creek but almost never hang there. We run to to Waterman's Crabhouse in Rock Hall, Jellyfish Joel's in Fairlee, Chesapeake Inn on C&D canal, Dock of the Bay of Miller's Island, and occaisonally Sam's Waterfront Cafe in Annapolis.

LOVE Chesapeake Inn on C&D and the ride up there is one of my favorites!

Where are you on Galloway?? I am way in the back, behind Bowleys Marina and Galloway Marina..

Pat Ousborne 05-05-2010 03:36 PM

I'm on the opposite side of Galloway creek -[bear to port heading in to left of the sand bar.] You can see a big green cover on the Fountain on the lift. My boat is white with green/gold striping-"Fountain of Youth".I'll keep an eye out for you!

I know exactly where you are! A friend of mine has a 38 Sonic right around you also!

You have probably seen my dad ( he has the red, orange and white Top Gun ) or my self coming in the creek on Sunday evenings....We usually dont pay attention to the speed limit on Sundays..Its wide open as soon as we see the 6mph bouys...Neighbors love us...:drink:

I revised that for you, to make it a correct statement.

Pat Ousborne 05-06-2010 08:27 AM

Yes, I've seen you heading in. I think you blew by me at mach speed one night a couple years ago? They should drop the speed limit and let us run like old days.Too many laws! We know the guy with the 38 Sonic a little bit too. He hangs with the guy with the blue 38 fountain EC from the creek as well. We've been in big raft ups at Fairlee with all of them.
