Will to sir, and thank you very much for the comment.

I see you are from Smithfield Va. My parents live in Carrollton on the water and I worked at the Smithfield Station when I was a young lad!! That place has really built up over the years. Hope to see you on the water this summer.

Details aren't my strong point considering everytime I meet anyone on this website it is at a Poker run:evilb:

Hollowpoint 03-23-2011 10:39 AM

Sorry Eric. Can't afford the fuel for a trip up your way. However, if you head down south and need a place to crash besides the boat, call me. You should try to at least make it this far south once this year!

I see above a comment about SML in May, what's going on then? I've been going up there the last couple years and absolutely love the lake, just wish it wasn't a 5 hour trip each way. When does the water start to warm up there and when do all the restaurants / bars open back up for the season?

As for the VB area, come on warm weather. I can't wait to get the new boat. Once it starts warming up you'll see me and my crew at just about all the spots mentioned above. Historically we've spent the most time on the ICW between Mundens point and the Cove with several weekends each at Tiki Bar ,New Point, Lake Gaston, and SML. Come summer we're on the boat every weekend and normally at least once during the week... Looking forward to meeting more people in the go fast crowd.

598 - To me it's not our boats that are useless, the ones that take people fishing all day to catch something I can pick up at Harris Teeter on the way home already cleaned and ready to through on the grill are the ones I question :) There never has been nor will there ever be a fishing pole onboard any boat I own...

:lolhit: I say the same chit to them!! I use Food Loin/Farm Fresh tho. I have been asked by family members to go fishing on my boat and tell them everytime "you are welcome to come ride, leave your poles at home". Life is all about different strokes for different folks.....I like to go fast, make as much noise as possible, and be stylish at the same time.....A center console fishing boat meets none of those requirements!! I will continue to burn gas and haul A**

Looks like I may not have the new boat before the SML run, if it gets done early we'll try and make it up there but otherwise we'll see you later this summer and make the run next year.

I've got a new 32 Spectre on order. The Spectre should be here sometime either very end of May or more likely first or second week of June.

A buddy of mine just got a 32 Skater and we'd just bring it but it's currently having the interior updated and getting new paint, the original red (ish), purple, and pink lightning bolts had to go :) Hopefully that will be done in time but projects tend to grow and take a little longer than anticipated so can't commit.

im digging the new 32 Spectre's!

mlb75 03-31-2011 12:13 PM

Well no pics yet of mine :) I'm starting to come up with interior color designs now and I'll post them in the Spectre forum as I come up with ideas.

As for the Skater I've got a few, let me find them tonight and I'll try to post em up to give ideas of how it looked and the plan...

Its starting to warm up... Anyone planning on going out this weekend?

BillR 04-29-2011 06:43 AM

Sunday may be splash day for me. I'll probably head to the narrows and soak some sun since the air over the bay will still be quite cold.

diverkr 04-29-2011 08:52 AM

First Landing State Park aka Narrows was good last weekend. Water is warm enough back in Broad Bay to take a soak.

formula 382 sr-1 05-01-2011 03:37 PM

Not yet for us, We went to the Va Beach Bike Classic this weekend with a Golf Cart ,Camper and a whole lot of :drink:

598 Formula 05-08-2011 10:46 AM

I put in last weekend here in North Cac-a-lacky and made a run from EC to Coinjock Marina for dinner with the family.

Water was cold and rough out in the sound, but back up in the intercoastal and the north river it was nice.

We went wake boarding off my buddies boat last saturday and the water was warmer than the air it seemed:lolhit:

Awesome day yesterday! Ran out in the bay and down to Rudees for drinks. Favorite part of the afternoon, 300+ lb short dude rolling up in a powder blue Lambo with a girl way out of his league, ha.

Pete280 05-08-2011 11:25 AM

saw you running down the ocean front, looked a little bouncy, were you drives tucked in and tabs down? that may help you run flatter and faster,

diverkr 05-08-2011 12:42 PM

Still getting used to running my boat in the bigger chop. There were some decent swells out there. Wish I had k planes! ha

BillR 05-08-2011 01:22 PM

Took boat to narrows for a shake down run. Got 2 minor issues, fixed one this morning.

2FastWarlock 05-08-2011 01:25 PM

if anytime yall go out and want someone to run along side with let me know, id be up for going out for a run and a little get together or something. Looking to get to know some more boating guys around the area

More like - when is the water warm enough.
Mid June.

I think Tiki bar is open now, but not 100% sure.

This Saturday will probably be a Narrows day.
