Memorial Weekend

OK boys and girls, it's wednesday afternoon and everyone SHOULD be getting their **** together for the weekend. Who is going to be at Lanier? I hope to be there on Friday afternoon at the marina after my Doc visit Friday morning. Come by and have a cold drink if you wish. SeeYa on the water.
Robert

MrCIG 05-22-2002 06:10 PM

That's better Robert. You had me confused with your screen name. I didn't know who was who.
I could see you in Kemosabe;)

Have a good holiday.

I'll be up here hopefully getting mine dialed in. Got to put the distributors in and 2 headers then I'm ready to roll.

Take care!

Mark and Patti

Tonto 05-22-2002 06:40 PM

Good luck Mark, I know those headers can be a real ***** sometimes. Make sure you use the ultra grey silicone, it's the only one that holds up. If you see your brother make sure that you tell him hey from me. Hope the weather warms up for yuuuz gizze  .

I'd love to be out this weekend, the weather looks good. I'll be here working on the boat. The only way I'll make the water this month is if I throw the drive back on, and use paddle power :(

Tonto (aka MedicineMan......aka Robert).

If all goes well I should be out on Sunday (and Monday). My alternators just came in yesterday, so I had to take apart and twist 90degrees to avoid a small casting area that hits the mount....and lets not forget they had to be painted to match the valve covers. So, if she cranks up on Saturday at the house, just need to change the filters, oil...etc......and I'm ready.

And, the weather looks like its gonna be great for the weekend!!

Tonto 05-22-2002 10:15 PM

There's suppose to be a pretty good party on a house boat in cocktail cove on sunday. Band on top the whole nine yards, not sure which boat I'll have out on sunday though. The 41 will be easy to recognize, the SeaRay is named KEYS DISEASE. If ya see us stop by

cdaddygreg@aol. 05-23-2002 01:19 AM

I'll be on Lanier all weekend. My Fountain is white with black, red and grey stripes and checkerboards near the tail. I'd like to meet up with anybody that will be out there. no name on my boat 'til next week. CASH BAR is the one that stuck. definitely headed for Cocktail Cove, I have friends that should have their houseboats there as well. Anybody that would like to meet up feel free to give me a call, Greg-678-778-4734.

Tonto, which marina on Fri., I'm putting in then and storing at Starboard Marina all weekend.

My boat is a 29' fountain.

kaamacat 05-23-2002 07:23 AM

Tonto......cdaddy. Sure will if i'm out there. I gotta believe that Coctail Cove will be x-tra packed this weekend.:D

Tonto 05-23-2002 01:24 PM

cdaddy,
Aqualand. If your coming out of Starboard and you see the lighthouse at AL turn right before you pass the LH and I think I'm the 4th dock in. It is the first dock that has covered slips all the way out to the end. The SeaRay is on the north side and the 41 will be on the south side of the same dock. They are the 4th slips in for the end (lake side, not shore side) If the 41 isn't in yet you will see an empty hydro hoist where it goes. I hope to be there three o'clockish. Got your number but my cell phone doesn't work at the dock, so I can't call till I get out on the water.
Robert

racefever 05-23-2002 03:42 PM

I will be out but boatless about 10 days on the motor till she is ready. The race boat (F1-91) is in for fiberglass repair. Can not drive anyway for about 2 weeks till shoulder heals. See you guys and girls at Cocktail cove & 6 dock.

P.S.
P4-91 WILL SEE 95mph. :D :D

cdaddygreg@aol. 05-23-2002 04:14 PM

Tonto,
May still be out at 3, but I work at Perimeter at 6 so i might already be in route. Definitely out Sat.,Sun., and Mon., though. Give me a call, if i'm already at work just leave a message and we'll try again Sat. You can always pass along something here to, I check every night after work(about 3am).

cdaddy:
We're always out in cocktail. If you see a Seebold, 26' (Sea Ya) or a 28' Powerplay (aggravation). Flag us down. Were always looking to meet new faces and boats. We always carry a barrel of fun on board, of bloody mary's.

Robert claims he has the best bloody mary's.
I'm still waiting.
Maybe Sunday?

Tonto 05-23-2002 08:18 PM

Damn right I got the best Bloody's :p . Thanks for the pie it sure is good! Trying to get p-steering pump realigned. The pulley was hitting the pump  . Oh well, I still hope to be out tomorrow :D :D . SeeYa
Robert

kaamacat 05-23-2002 09:22 PM

Tonto...............yumm.........Bloody Mary's.......my favorite. Think I'lll have to mount me a Tonto radar on the boat for this weekend.:D

Tonto 05-23-2002 10:08 PM

If your wanting a Bloody better make sure that the SeaRay is close as that is where all the fixins' are :D :D .
Robert

Tonto 05-23-2002 11:34 PM

Oops,
won't make it tomorrow. Got to finish the p-steering pump. Need shorter bolts, longer bolts etc. SeeYa Sat.
Robert

kaamacat 05-24-2002 01:33 PM

Must be a curse....me neither. Was just putting on the alternators, adn one of them, the lower mounting bolt casting is just "out of square" enough to kant it out too much. Need to get out Mr.Grinder and fix that puppy. (hey as for S/S hardware, man-oh-man, Ace Hardware is great for that stuff! They even carry those nice large 3/4" nylock nuts for the rams and such. (and lucky for me they are right across from the storage facility).

..............still trying for Sunday/Monday though..........(if you're out in the Apache.....remember the thermose of BM's):p

Bob:

Good luck with the alternator. Based on a recommendation from a friend I stoped in a place up here in Gainesville yesturday. Told him what I wanted, he built it, and I picked it up last night. Even ran it on the bench for me to show how it was working.

Doug

Have a safe weekend everybody

kaamacat 05-25-2002 07:58 PM

Rumrunner....thanks.

Just finished them today. Because the overall housing is larger on these, I had to make so "adjustments" to the mounting bracket. Also had to run new wire. (good thing I did. the original stuff was kinda green/black about 1" in..........better safe:D than sorry).

Now, tomorrow is run the engines again to get that 9month old gas cycled a bit. (starbord engine sounded weird...could just be that 1st time of the year)

Looks like Monday will be the day. (possibly late tomorrow also)

Bob

RumRunner 05-25-2002 08:59 PM

Kaamacat

Good Luck if you need a hand give me a call (770) 536-5715

Doug

kaamacat 05-26-2002 04:23 PM

Rumrunner(Doug). Thanks for the offer. I'm pretty darn sure that.....well, if you saw my fuel seperators and what came out of them.......lets just say I must have found the "bottom of the barrel". When I poured the starbord side into a coffee can, the sediment was nasty, and you couldnt see a thing. Real real bad. (going to siphon out the remaining fuel tomorrow). Thank god they blocked the stuff at least.

Really think it was a combination of stuff from back in 1997 that I never got to run out, and from the previous owner never used it much. In fact it almost didnt smell like gas at all.

Bob

cdaddygreg@aol. 05-27-2002 02:23 AM

I'll be back out and around the Cove Mon. most of the day. If anybody is out, or thinking about goin' out, give me a call. I'll have the girls with me so I should be easy to spot. Tonto, i will swing by AL and look for you. The guy I bought my Fountain from knows you and may be with me. Bill Harris said to say "hi"! Look forward to seeing/meeting you all soon.

Greg, 678-778-4734 cel.
